Day 01 - La Paz
Arrival at the international airport of El Alto Reception, assistance and transfer to the Hotel. The rest day is free.
Day 02 - La Paz - TIWANAKU
Breakfast. Immediately after we will start an approximately 5 hours – Excursion to the Archeological center of Tiwanaku
( Pre- Inca culture) , located 72 Km. from La Paz city. In the itinerary, we will stop at the settlement of Laja, where La Paz city was originally founded. Next we will reach the Viewpoint of Llo´ ko Llo´ ko from where you can appreciate a spectacular panorama of the Andes mountain range.
As soon as we arrive to Tiwanaku, we will visit the Pyramid of Akapana, the Temple of Kalasasaya, the Door of the Sun ( Puerta del sol ), the so- called little Semi subterranean Temple, the Temple of sarcophaguses of Putuni, the Lithic Museum (where the Bennett Monolith is located) with its Ceramic and Metallurgy . Return to La Paz. In the afternoon City tour (3 ½ hours). The tour visits the most important and interesting places of this city such as: the colonial area and museums, the main square, the cathedral, Palace of government and legislative palace, the viewpoint of Killi Killi, the replica of one of the semi subterranean temples of Tiwanaku, the Indigenous and Witch Doctors Markets, San Francisco , Colonial Church, handicraft shops of typical and folkloric goods the residential. Area of the city. The tour ands with a visit to the unique Moon Valley. Return to the hotel.
Day 03 - La Paz - Lake Titikaka
Breakfast. Immediately after we will start an Excursion to Lake Titikaka (5 hours), located 71 Km. from La Paz. We head towards the settlement of Huatahata, where we will visit the museum of Rafts of Paulino Esteban, constructor of Rafts made of Bulrushes (totora), who has been a close collaborator of the famous explorer and scientist, Thor Heyderdahl. Later on we will take a motorboat to the island of Kala- Uta, where you will appreciate the Incan ruins and the Chullpares. Typical lunch (with choice of delicious salmon trout or (pejerrey) and return to La Paz. Afternoon free.
Day 04 La Paz
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport according to departure schedule, assistance to take the return flight or any connexion.
