This 4x4 day trip is intended for travelers who want to move around the northern Yungas region and towards the Amazon (Caranavi, Rurrenabaque, Guanay, Trinidad, San Borja, Cobija…) on their own.
Day 1: LA PAZ – COROICO
Departure from the hotel at 09:00 in a private 4x4 to Coroico, the pearl of the Yungas (3/4 hour journey along one of the most impressive routes in the world). After having crossed the Summit Pass (4750 m Alt.), we leave the plateau to begin a long descent.
After each curve, the landscapes become greener, the air more humid and the breeze warmer... After having descended almost 3,500 meters of altitude, we arrived at Yolosa (1,100 m al.). A climb of 7 kilometers (650 m) ends the trip to reach Coroico, a paradisiacal town.
In the afternoon, a well-deserved rest by the pool or a short walk around the area (view of the peaks of the mountain range).
