Module: Trek - 4WD

This module proposes the visit walking in the National Park of Sajama, one of the natural jewels of Bolivia. We will go to discover an abundant and varied fauna in a single framework composed of majestic volcanoes, thermals springs an geysers, and lost villages where the life continues at the slow rhythm of the Lama.
Day 1 : LA PAZ – TOMARAPI – SAJAMA
Departure from the hotel at 9:00 by private transport. We cross the Altiplano before arriving to the entrance of the Sajama National Park (approximately 4h). Along the way we will see the Chipaya tombs (chullpas). We will get into the park through a route that will lead us to the population of Tomarapi. The fauna is numerous and varied: alpacas, vicuñas and ñandus. We will also see the pink flamingos on the Huayna Khota lagoon. Later on, we will recapture the route to the village of Sajama and, later on, to the sources of hot springs located at the foot of the Sajama volcano.
Lunch on the road. All included. Night in Sajama (limited comfort).
Day 2 : SAJAMA - GEYSERS - HOT SPRINGS - LA PAZ
In the morning, trip by 4WD to the geysers. This zone is particularly active and we offer to us an enjoying spectacle. We will also be able to cook a couple of eggs in these boiling and slightly sulfurous waters.
On the afternoon, return to La Paz (3/4h) via the little village of Curahuara de Carangas (colonial church with perfectly conserved paints). Along the way we will see the Chipaya tombs (chullpas), now empty after the systematic robberies.
Lunch included and dinner free. Hotel.
