Module: Trekking / Real Mountain Range

Duration: 4 days

Period: March to November

This short trek aimed at experienced walkers and takes us to the heart of the Cordillera Real, trekking from one lagoon to the next, between the peaks of the Condoriri. In addition to this wonder, we discover the splendid Laguna Congelada, dominated by the imposing condor head which reaches 5650m of height.

This is the best way for travelers who do not have much time to spend to approach what undoubtedly constitutes the most beautiful part of the mountain range.

Difficulty : from 4 to 6 hours walk per day. Good physical condition required.

We leave the hotel at 07.00 by private transport for the Cordillera Real (2hr. journey) and Tuni Lagoon, where the trek starts.

We meet our team of mules and their drivers and leave Northward towards the Condoriri Base Camp, on the edge of Chiarkhota lagoon (4700m hig), 2 to 3 hours away.

Day 3 : JURIKHOTA LAGOON - CONGELADA LAGOON - CHIARKHOTA LAGOON

From the lagoon, we climb a steep slope to reach the small Laguna Congelada (two glaciers literally fall into its frozen waters), a real gem encased at 5000m above sea level, at the foot of Condoriri (5650m high).
