The Choro Inca trail is much more than just a four-day trek in the course of which we will discover and amazing diversity. The trek begins by ascending to a pass located at 4850 m.a.s.l and continues with a two-day descent to the valleys of los Yungas. The Inca road passes through breathtaking scenery and by numerous pre-Columbian ruins. The Choro is the ideal road to slowly and progressively discover Bolivia. In a short time, we will pass from eternal snows to the kingdom of lush vegetation.

Day 1 : LA PAZ - THE SUMMIT - CHALLAMPAMPA

We leave La Paz at 8:00 a.m. in private transport to La Cumbre (4850 m.a.s.l. -1h). We begin at this height our singular trek that will lead us to the warm valleys of los Yungas. Meet with our team of porters. The trek starts by an ascent of about 1 hour to Apacheta Chucura. This is the point where the long descent to los Yungas begins... After 6 hour walk, we will arrive to the village of Challampampa.

Cold lunch. Camping. All included.

Day 2 : CHALLAMPAMPA - SANDILLANI

We continue our descent to the bottom of the valleys. The vegetation becomes denser and the air warmer. After 6 or 7 hour walk we will finally arrive at the village of Sandillani. The vegetation is now typically sub tropical.

Cold lunch. Camping. All included.

Day 3 : SANDILLANI - CHAIRO - COROICO

After some hour walk, we will finish our trek in the village of Chairo. A private jeep will be waiting for us in this point in order to lead us to Coroico, the pearl of los Yungas, an ideal place for a well-deserved rest.

Cold lunch. Hotel.

Day 4: COROICO - LA PAZ

Free morning by a pool or a short walk around the village (from your window you may be able to see snowy peaks)

Return to La Paz in local transport during the afternoon.
